At Kids Camera Action! we give you the chance to learn the tricks of the trade at every stage of the filmmaking process – from crafting a script to walking down the red carpet at your very own cinema screening.
Script-writing
If you like to dream up intriguing characters, impossible dilemmas and unpredictable twists then you will love script-writing at Kids Camera Action! We get expert help from Bafta Nominated Writers and BBC scriptwriters on how to create a gripping scene ready to be filmed by our KCA crew.
Film Crew
Camera operators, clapper loaders, location managers, costume designers... there are loads of jobs behind the scenes, and each one is essential to create a brilliant final film. It’s amazing to see teamwork in action when our Kids Camera Action! crews get going: everyone has a part to play, working hard and having great fun.
Red Carpet Screening
The icing on the cake - after all the hard work is done, there is the chance to share films with the world. Our crews show up in their finest attire, enjoy a red carpet photo shoot, and then see their film on the big screen - the highlight of the Kids Camera Action! year.
Acting
All our Kids Camera Action teams get the opportunity to appear in our films and see themselves on the big screen. Improving their confidence in presenting and acting in a supportive environment, is important to us.
Directing
Our young directors get creative on set - they get to call the shots to decide how the film will look. If you hope to be the next Steven Spielberg then Kids Camera Action! can give you the tools to help you turn that dream into a reality.
Stunts & Special Effects
These exciting workshops are always a highlight for our Kids Camera Action! crews. Learning to choreograph fight scenes with spectacular stunts, and then learn the tricks of the trade of special effects makeup - fake blood, bruises and gory scars!
TV Studio Visits
On our special event days the Kids Camera Action! crews get the chance to visit real TV studios, such as CBBC Studios in London, Bournemouth Uni HD studio and the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
Animation
Are you a fan of Wallace and Gromit, Creature Comforts or the Pirates? Then our special animation workshops are the place for you! Anything is possible when it comes to creating your own stop-motion animation - our expert animator will help you design your own world, make fantastic characters and bring them to life!
